The IAAP is dedicated to the principle that certified professionals must conform their behavior to the highest standards of ethical practice. At IAAP, we believe that ethics plays a vital role in the addiction industry and we strive to maintain the highest of standards. We expect that our Members and our International Education Providers will adhere to our code of ethics. To that end, the IAAP Code of Ethical and Professional Conduct (the Code) is applied to all professionals, Education Providers and those seeking certification.

The IAAP is committed to investigate and sanction those certified professionals or those seeking certification who breach the Code locally, nationally or internationally. Certified professionals and those seeking certification are therefore encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Code and to guide their behavior according to the rules set forth within the Code. If you have unanswered questions, you may contact us at any time.
